Treatments

The Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic Works governs the methodology and standards behind each element of MACC's programming.

In addition to high quality treatments, MACC’s examinations in conjunction with curatorial expertise often lead to discoveries in dating, authenticity, structural and aesthetic techniques, as well as handling and display techniques. Our consulting services include:

Curatorial -- acquisitions, exhibitions, loans, display and storage modifications.

Examinations -- material analysis, dating, structural and aesthetic techniques, future care, handling, and exhibition needs.

Documentation -- detailed condition and treatment reports, Object by Object Surveys, high-quality photographs and digital files, and General Preservation Assessment Surveys.

Consulting -- accidents, disasters, new building and renovation projects, displays & mountings, shipping & handling, grant writing and funding resources.
